Anselmo was our grandfather. He was born a farmer and all his life he worked the land. His face was wrinkly from the sun and wind, he spent endless hours taking care of the vineyards. Anselmo learnt to cultivate the land from his father. And his father learnt from his grandfather. This was the way secrets were passed from generation on to generation. Anselmo had two daughters, Blanca and Sagrario, neither of them were interested in the land.

How many times we think of him. Anselmo would be so happy to see his rejuvenated “Vallervitos”. The special place in the Guerinda Mountains where his parents lived and he spent long hours taking care of his vines. He would be so proud, his daughter Blanca says, if he would have seen how his son in law rebuilt the farmhouse where his family lived and how his two granddaughters love to work the land.

Product Description

Anselmo is, in origin, the same wine as El Maximo. The grapes also come from the single plot of Vallervitos but in a more developed and mature style due to the long aging in the barrique and bottle. We only make Anselmo when the grapes are in the best condition for it.

Did you realise that El Maximo, red wine with crianza is our father, and that Anselmo, red wine with reserve, is our grandfather? A special tribute to both of them. Today we have our vineyards in the Guerinda Mountains thanks to them.

Variedad 60% Grenache, 30% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon Nariz Cooked fruit tobacco and forest floor.
Viticultura Organic viticulture. Manual harvest. Vallervitos single plot in Guerinda Mountains Boca Maduro, soft and balanced.
Enología Fermentation in stainless Steel tank. Aging: 26 months in French oak and 12 months in bottle. Maridaje All types of meats, stews and chocolate desserts.
